Check the asset and network before you send
USDT and USDC exist on more than one network, and a transfer only arrives safely when the asset, network and address all match. Here is what to check before you approve a stablecoin transfer in Dbanq.
Why the network matters
A stablecoin such as USDT or USDC can exist on several blockchain networks. The name is the same, but each network keeps its own version of the token, and the two sides of a transfer must use the same one. Sending on a network the recipient does not support can mean the funds never arrive. Blockchain transfers may be irreversible.
Token support also varies by network, so a stablecoin that is available on one network in Dbanq may not be available on another. Your wallet only shows the routes supported for your account.
Before you send
- Ask the recipient which asset and network they expect.
- Select that exact asset and network in your Dbanq wallet.
- Paste the full address and compare the first and last characters.
- Review the amount and any network charges shown.
- Approve only when every detail matches.
Before you receive
When you add stablecoins to Dbanq, select the asset and network first. Dbanq then shows the transfer instructions for that route. Share the exact asset, network and address shown, and nothing else. A deposit on an unsupported route is not the same as a completed one, and unsupported transfers can result in loss.
Same name is not the same token. Always match the asset, the network and the address.
Costs to expect
- Network charges may apply to transfers.
- Costs depend on the route and provider.
- Dbanq shows the applicable costs before you approve.
Wrapping up
Matching the asset, network and address takes a few seconds and protects every transfer. Find more answers in our FAQs, or read about the Dbanq wallet.
